Welcome to Spring in our beautiful neighbourhood,
We are pleased to be able to offer ‘Broadband for Seniors’ again. This has been a successful program and those who have attended in the past have benefitted from the expertise of our Tutor, Jean, and her teaching methods. Jean guides you to take certain computer programs that can be a little daunting and making the steps easy to follow, practical and useful for everyday use, and enjoyable at the same time.
Did you know that we offer three different types of Playgroups? We have the KNC Playgroup which is held every Monday and Wednesday between 9.30 am and 12 noon. We hold end of term performance activities and there are occasions when we also offer performances during the terms for the benefit of our little ones. The KNC Playgroup Parents, under the guidance of it’s current Co-ordinator, Michelle, held a very successful fundraising stall during the year and plan another for October. We always appreciate community support to enable this vital service to continue. We have also been fortunate to have Ali, a local woman, who has offered to be our Monday Playgroup Volunteer. Ali will work together with Michelle and Parents to ensure KNC Playgroup continues to thrive and deliver a safe and wholesome program to our neighbourhood’s children. We are looking for a Wednesday Playgroup Volunteer. Might you be interested?
There is also a Spanish Playgroup which is held on Fridays from 3.30 pm to 5 pm. An afternoon of fun and non-Spanish speaking families are welcome to join in! The Swiss Playgroup, which is held on the last Tuesday of the month from 9.30 am to 11.30 am offers the enjoyment of being transported through story-telling, song and dance, with additional traditional performances not to be missed. Please see inside your brochure for more details of what’s on offer for the integration and enjoyment of our local children’s early development.
We look forward to offering you an open door and a warm welcome here at your KNC, and please join us for our end of year Community Afternoon Tea Party which will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm on November 2, 2013 offering something for everyone!

KNC HERITAGE ROOM HIRE
Kirribilli Neighbourhood Centre, or KNC as it is fondly known, is YOUR place. It’s an historical building with heritage rooms for hire for your next meeting, family gathering, party, performance or professional consultation. It’s a place where activities are held for your enjoyment, health and personal interest and includes an outdoor garden setting for children’s parties and playgroups. It’s a place that regularly holds free events and activities purely for the benefit of all those living in your community. Overall, it’s a place to feel safe and connected.
HIRE OUR BACK GARDEN FOR CHILDREN’S PARTIES
Children’s parties are popular in our back garden setting, which is child safe, has access to the playgroup toys and a fully equipped kitchen. Should it rain, the party can move inside into the Trelawney Room.
Children’s Party Package (all inclusive): $150 for three hours.
Our doors are always open for you to pop in and see what we’re about. Be a part of history and see what your KNC can offer you, now and in the future. We are at your service.
